At the end of 2019, the fourth exhibition of Ukrainian theater artists was held, which presented a broad overview of the art of scenography. The exposition presents the creative work of more than 40 Ukrainian artists – scenographers of different generations, which has been realized over the past 3 years in domestic and foreign theaters. At the exhibition you could see models, sketches, costumes, photos of performances that took the stage from 2016 to 2019.
Numerous and diverse exhibits revealed the secrets of a unique creative profession, illustrated the universal nature of the artist’s work, which usually goes unnoticed by theatrical audience. The Lviv Gallery of Scenography with its separate exposition was presented at the Triennial.
Within the framework of the exhibition there were meetings with authors, master classes, visits to the backstage space of various theatrical platforms..
Among the participants of the Triennial are scenographers of leading Kyiv theaters: Mariia Levytska, Andrii Aleksandrovych-Dochevskyi, Volodymyr Karashevskyi, Ihor Nesmiianov, Liudmyla Nahorna, Nataliia Kucheria, Viktor Baryba, Oleksii Vakarchuk and Kateryna Korniichuk, Oleksandr Druhanov, Valentyna Kuzmichova, Oleksii Havrosh, Natalia Rudiuk, Anna Dukhovychna, Andrii Zlobin and Hanna Ipatieva, Bohdan Polishchuk, Stas Petrovskyi, Oleh Lunov and many others.
The exhibition lasted from December 24, 2019 to January 12, 2020 at the address: National Museum “Kyiv Art Gallery”, st. Tereshchenkivska, 9.
The next Lider Triennial of Scenography will take place in 2022. Keep an eye on the start of registration of participants.
