Davyd Borovskyi-Brodskyi

1934 – 2006

In 1947-50 he studied at the Kyiv Art School.

He started working as an artist at the age of 15 – in Kyiv theaters, in particular, in the Lesia Ukrainka Theater.

The first performance in his design – the production of I. Molostova on the play by Eduardo De Filippo “Lies on long legs” (1956)

The artist worked in a number of theaters in Kyiv. In 1965 he designed the first opera performance (on the stage of the T. Shevchenko Kyiv Opera) – “Kateryna Izmailova” by D. Shostakovych in the production of I. Molostova.

In 1966, David Borovskyi moved to Moscow at the invitation of Borys Lvov-Anokhin.
