He studied at the Taras Shevchenko Republican Art High School. In the tenth grade of school he met the scenographer Daniil Lider, through whom he became interested in scenography.
He graduated in 1997 from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (workshops of D. Lider, O. Burlin). For a long time he worked as the chief artist of the Kyiv Academic Drama and Comedy Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper.
